Living in New York you'd think that it's easy to go 12 new bars
throughout the year. It's not as easy as it sounds.
Especially if you're trying to do 99 other things, and you're
not very wealthy. You usually end up going to the
neighborhood watering hole, and that's it. In the
past 3 years I probably only visited five new bars, and most of
them were within a two block radius. So, time to explore
and find out about new bars. Hopefully I'll find out more
then 12. This dare falls into the social category.

January 18, 2008 - Went to Soda Bar with Natasha. It was late,
around 3am that we ended up at the Brooklyn bar. Apparently the Soda Bar
gets its name from the fact that there was a soda shop on this location.
The bar is comfortable, but most importantly it was a very friendly vibe.
Lots of strangers who talked to us, and we ended up going to a party with a few
people when the doors closed. The bartender was nice as well, and some guy
gave us his humus and pita bread! Overall, it was a great experience and
I'm sure I'm going to be coming back soon.
Proof:

A shot of Jager and two Snowman beers.

January 25, 2009 -- Natasha and I ended up stopping by Beast on a very cold and
snowy January evening. It was warm, friendly, and awesome. I enjoyed
every minute of it. Great whiskey, great bartender, great atmosphere.
This is a new must for me.
